Item Rental / Hire Agreement

EVENT PLANNING & DECOR ITEM RENTALS
Partycrate is an event planning and decor hire company.

Upon deposit payment and delivery/collection of PartyCrate hire items the customer agrees to all terms and conditions in this agreement.

 

PARTYCRATE HIRE RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject to the terms of the Agreement, we will provide to you the selected item(s) between the stated start and finish dates and times.

 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES & SAFTEY 
To ensure item(s) are fully respected and returned in the same condition as delivered/collected.
Any lost items will be charged at a replacement cost of the customer.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
The rental period is for a day unless special permission/ alternative arrangements have been made.
If the customer wishes to extend the hire to additional days, the customer will be charged another hire cost.
The same charges apply if the item(s) are returned late.

 

PAYMENT DETAILS
Customers are asked to make all payments to PartyCrate via bank transfer or PayPal. Bank details will be provided on invoice.
The remaining balance is to be paid before the day of item collection and/or delivery. If the payment has not been received, PartyCrate has the right to cancel your order with no refund.
Additional delivery charges may apply and these will be provided on the invoice.

 

DEPOSIT
Customers are required to provide a 50% deposit to secure their item (s)
The deposit due date is provided on the invoice.
On payment of the deposit, PartyCrate will lock in you the item(s) / booking for your event.

 

BOND
Customers are asked to provide a bond. The bond will be returned within 3 working days given the item(s) has/have been returned and inspected to ensure item is in good working condition and not soiled or damaged in any way.

 

COLLECTION
Customer collection time is by appointment only. Partycrate is located at 93 Scott Road, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa, Auckland 0932. Instructions will be provided prior to the arranged collection/return.
Customers must check that they are happy with the item(s) and notify PartyCrate at the time or collection/ delivery if they observe and damage to the hire item(s).

 

DELIVERY
Delivery charges are calculated depending on distance and if the event is within. Our service area.
Delivery charges start from $40,00 plus GST (one way)
Please note prices quoted on the PartyCrate website do not include GST or delivery fee, unless stated otherwise.
Please note that some items are for delivery and setup only.
Customers must be onsite or have someone that is onsite to accept the delivery at the time arranged by both parties.
If no one is on site to accept the delivery and we have to wait over 30 minutes then the client will incur an extra charge for time wasted.

Extra charges may apply if your event space is more than 20m from where our Car/ Van/ Truck can park or pull up.

 

LATE NIGHT PICKUP /MIDNIGHT EVENT PACK DOWNS 

Please note if time has been arranged by both parties/ arranged for late night/midnight pack down/ collection and we have to wait 30 minutes, then the client will be charged $100+GST per half hour x the number of crew required.

 

CUSTOMER CANCELLATION
If the customer wishes to cancel hiring their rental item(s), they must inform PartyCrate as soon as possible in writing to be eligible for a refund.

*Refunds are as follows:
If the customer cancels four weeks or more before their collection/delivery date full refund will be provided unless balloons or items have been purchased for the occasion.
If the customer cancels one to three weeks from their collection / delivery date the will be refunded 25% of their deposit
If the customer cancels within the week before collection/delivery date, there will be no refund of the deposit.
PartyCrate reserves the right to cancel item collection/delivery should a previous customer return the item in a damaged condition, leaving the item unfit for the next customer.

 

RESCHEDULING OF THE HIRE DATE
There is no charge to the customer for changing the date of their event, on the basis that the items(s) are available on the new date.

 

CLEANING
Partycrate items are expected to be retuned in the same condition as they were collected/delivered.
Soiled and/or Damaged items
Customers will be charged $25 of their bond if an item is returned in a soiled condition.
Customers will be charged part or all their bond if an item is refunded damaged.
The bond deduction will be determined by PartyCrate, depending on the extent of the damage.
Customers must inform PartyCrate if they are aware of any damage to an item.
Any lost PartyCrate item(s) will be charged at a replacement cost and is to the cost of the customer.

 

RENTAL ITEMS
Please note PartyCrate is a decor stylist and hire company and our items do not come as a new product. We offer course ensure our items are looked after to the best standards possible and ask the same of our customers, but please expect there will be a minimal amount of wear and tear on some of our items given that they are used multiple times.

 

COLLABORATION
Partycrate is happy to work alongside another event planning company.

 

DISCLAIMER
This rental agreement forms the sole agreement between the customer and Partycrate. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Partycrate harmless for any claimed from the customers use or misuse, including and third parties for loss, injury and damage to persons or items arising out of the customer’s negligence or operation including legal costs incurred in defence of such claims.
